Bangor is a small, friendly City with a static population of 13,500 that is enhanced by a further 12,000 University students during the academic year.You will find our people to be warm and welcoming.

I am delighted to support the Institute of Japanese Studies, Bangor University and the Trinity Foundation Programme in welcoming prospective students to our City.  I do hope many of you will consider coming to study at the Trinity Foundation Programme and continue on to our University, Trinity College or other English speaking University.

Many students who have studied at the Trinity Foundation Programme have said that they are very sad to leave Bangor because it has been such a wonderful experience for them and that during their stay they were able to practise and perfect their command of the English language.

I can assure you that you will be very well looked after by the Institute of Japanese Studies, by the Trinity Foundation Programme and by your host families.

I do hope you will decide to visit Bangor in the not too distant future where you will find a traditional Welsh welcome awaits you.
